Order of Merit – Pahlavi Dynasty – Nishan-i-Liaqat – Crown & Swords

Description:
This is an original Order of Merit (Nishan-i-Liaqat) medal from Imperial Iran, awarded during the Pahlavi Dynasty (1925–1979). The decoration features the Imperial Pahlavi crown over crossed swords, set within a beautiful blue enameled cross. This version is most likely a military grade.

Key Features:

  • Country: Imperial Iran (Persia)

  • Era: Pahlavi Dynasty (Reza Shah or Mohammad Reza Shah)

  • Award: Nishan-i-Liaqat – Order of Merit

  • Material: Bronze with red and blue enamel

  • Centerpiece: Pahlavi Crown on red enamel with crossed swords

  • Diameter: 33.21 mm

  • Ribbon: Original red and blue silk ribbon

  • Grade: Likely 3rd class (unconfirmed)

Condition:
The medal shows signs of wear consistent with age. Chipping is present on the red enamel center, and the ribbon shows some fraying and small holes. There may be residue or adhesive on the reverse side. Please see photos for full condition details.

This is a rare and authentic piece of Persian history, issued before the 1979 Iranian Revolution. Awards from the Pahlavi era are increasingly sought-after by collectors of royal and Middle Eastern orders.
