Poland – 1st Armoured Regiment Badge
This scarce WWII 1st Armoured Regiment badge was made by Kirkwood & Son, Edinburgh, Scotland. The 1st Armoured Regiment formed part of the 1st Polish Armoured Division commanded by General Stanisław Maczek, fighting in France during the Normandy campaign — including the fierce battles for Hill 262 (“Maczuga”) — and later taking part in operations in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.
The badge features a Maltese cross with a Crusadertank and the numeral "1" in relief. Dimensions are approximately 41.46 x 41.58 mm. The screw-back nut is a replacement and not original to the badge, but it fits and fastens securely.
Condition: Good overall, with visible age-related wear.
